States Where Online Sports Betting is Legal – 2023

The American Gaming Association estimates that Americans bet more than $140 billion in states where online sports betting is legal yearly. Millions of online sports bettors worldwide enjoy placing wagers with legal bookmakers. But while most Americans can place bets on their favorite teams and leagues through online legal sites, it’s essential to know your options before placing any wagers—especially since many states don’t allow online sports betting!

But before you head out to place your bet, there are some things you need to know. You must be 21 years old or older to gamble, and no one under 18 can work at any casino or gaming establishment. You must also be physically present at the location where you’re gambling—no remote betting is allowed here (unless you’re playing online).
